* Approx top RPM for the engine
§ Approx top recommended continuous cruising RPM
Personal trials were averaged of two directions. The unnamed boats were new boats with a fresh smooth bottom paint and little personal equipment. When I sea trialed "High Times", it wouldn't plane. Following my sea trial, it was tested with several props and with its new prop, its tops out at 16.5 knots. The max continuous cruise RPM for the 315 Hp Yanmar is 3000-3100. This should allow it to cruise on a plane making this a great engine-boat combination for a single.
