The Camano Troll Page

The Camano troll looks like a lot of value for the money. I have a friend of a friend that bought one and they really like it. It has the classic trawler styling with big windows inside and great looks but minus the wood and its maintenance on the outside. There is a nice review of this boat in the June 2000 PassageMaker Magazine. It is powered by a 200 Hp Volvo diesel and Herb Voelcker is quoted in the article saying that it cruses at 13-14 knots at about 2 miles/gallon of fuel. It has a range of more than 400 miles at 6 knots with the 100 gallon tank. It can do 18 knots if pushed. Base price ranges from $145K - $175K. It's LOA is 31' and the deck is 28'. The beam is 10'6. It sleeps 2 with vberths + 2 with conversion of sofa. There is no genset. My only complaint is that the galley is down not up; we like to see out during meal preparation. For us, lunch is often made while underway sometimes in interesting conditions.

The pictures in the following web site are not very good. I recommend checking out the photos in the PassageMaker.
